Best Day with My Best Friend

Today was so much fun! It snowed a lot here! We got almost two inches!!! I had to go in to work, but we got off at 11:30 because of the snow! Here's a pic from one of the windows at my office:



I had to drive home in the snow, which was coming down pretty heavily at that point.

After we ate lunch, we went out and played in the snow! It was absolutely wonderful! We built a snowman:




We also had a snowball fight...so much fun! I felt like a kid again! And we made snow angels:






That's me in the green jacket! I had on two pairs of pants, two pairs of socks, two t-shirts, a sweater, the green puffer jacket, gloves, and a toboggan! I've been sick, so I got extra bundled up!

I had so much fun just playing in the snow with Alan! He is my absolute best friend in this world! I know a lot of people say that about their spouse, but I really mean it! After playing in the snow, we sat on the couch and he fell asleep leaning against me, so we went to bed and took a nap. After we woke up, we decided to go on our Valentine's date tonight and we went to Cheesecake Factory. It was expensive, but SO delicious! Luckily, we both have half our cheesecake left and I also have half my dinner left! When we got there, they told us it would be a 40-minute wait, so we walked around outside, but NONE of the other stores were open, so we sat in the car and talked! It was so wonderful to know that we could just sit in the car for half an hour and just talk. I love that man so much! When we finally got seated, we were in a booth (our favorite--we like to sit next to each other). Dinner was great and very romantic, even though neither of us was dressed up...we were just ourselves. The best part is that, after our date, we got to go home together and I get to spend every day with him! I can't wait for the marriage retreat either! We have worked so hard to pay off all our debt so that we don't feel guilty about going on this trip and, aside from student loans, we will have our debt paid off as of Tuesday!!!

I am so blessed that my best friend is also my husband! I love him so much and can't imagine any day without him! He holds the key to my heart! I love you baby! <3
